How is a trial burn conducted | | | How Is A Trial Burn Conducted? | | | | | Fuel containing known quantities of the species to be tested is burned under carefully controlled conditions, while, simultaneously, a stack-testing company accurately collects samples of the hot stack gases over an extended (1.5+-hour) period of time. These hot stack gases are condensed and the various components are separated and quantified. The removal efficiency can then be calculated as a ratio of the amount of the element in the stack gases divided by the amount of that element injected into the hot end of the incinerator. | | |
